Java & Database Lead Developer is a senior-level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of programming experience in Java, Python, Spark, Scala
- 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in RDMS Database SQL (Oracle/Sybase), including queries, PL/SQL, advanced tuning techniques, and database upgrade/migration approaches
- 3+ years of experience with Messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Tibco, RabbitMQ)
- Hands-on experience in multi-threading
- Experience with Middleware (Tomcat, WebSphere), Cloud Containerization (ECS), CICD tools, Angular, ExtJS, JMS, JSON, XML, ROD, Client Project
- Experience in Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Microservices, event-based architecture, and consuming REST APIs
- Experience with collaboration tools like GIT, BitBucket, GitHub Copilot, and project management tools like JIRA
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux commands and scripting
- Experience in data analysis, data modeling, SQL performance tuning, and exception handling
Preferred Skillsets:
- Knowledge and experience with Workflow systems (e.g., JBPM) is a plus
- Strong systems analysis, design, architecture fundamentals, unit testing, and SDLC activities
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with business and stakeholders
- Hands-on experience in JAVA/J2EE, Spring Framework stack, SOAP/RESTful services
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and data analysis
- Knowledge of scheduling tools like IBM Autosys is preferable
- Experience with SSH clients (sftp/scp) for terminal access and file transfer
- Strong software design skills, especially in database packages in multi-threaded environments

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred
