Job summary

Jobtailor in Toronto is seeking a senior API Platform Engineer to lead the design, development, deployment and rollout of enhancements on the API Platform. You will consult with business delivery teams and mentor teammates while advancing DevOps practices.

Responsibilities include creating and maintaining technical documentation for the CDC solution and ensuring REST API design standards, event‑driven architecture, and containerized deployments with Kubernetes on AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area.
• 8+ years of experience programming in Java.
• Work experience in DevOps, Kubernetes and AWS Cloud.
• Understanding of APIs, Event Driven Solutions, DevOps, containers, Kubernetes and cloud.
• Knowledge of REST API design standards.
• Previous experience with programming in Python and/or JavaScript is nice to have.
• Knowledge of CI/CD solutions (like Jenkins, Groovy, CDD Continuous Delivery Director).
