EverCommerce is hiring an Android Engineer for Joist, a remote-friendly role based in Canada. You will develop native Android applications using Kotlin and Java, work with Jetpack Compose, and collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver features that delight small business contractors.

The role emphasizes performance, code quality, and mentorship, with opportunities to contribute to iOS later.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience developing native Android applications using Kotlin, with a solid understanding of Java.
• Experience with Android frameworks such as Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and Hilt.
• Understanding of mobile architectural patterns (MVVM, MVP).
• Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android apps to back-end services.
• Experience in writing test cases, test automation scripts, and profiling mobile apps for performance.
• Proficiency with Git and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with Google's Material design principles, and design tools like Figma or Sketch.
• Experience leveraging LLM tooling like Claude or ChatGPT.
