Job summary

MaintainX seeks senior data platform engineers to join a growing data team supporting the product and internal analytics. You will help build and maintain the data platform that feeds the product and BI, while expanding capabilities for pipelines, governance, and tooling.

You will collaborate with data engineers, ML, product, and analytics teams to enable data-driven decisions across the organization. Strong backend and data modeling experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOC2, FedRAMP).
• Experience in backend software development and data storage (relational, unstructured, BLOB).
• Experience designing and operating vector databases and RAG workflows.
• Advanced English communication, both written and spoken, for leadership and cross-team alignment.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a data platform powering product analytics and internal BI using Databricks.
• Design and develop scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Model raw data into clean, reliable datasets powering product features and analytics.
• Develop platform abstractions and tooling to improve developer productivity.
• Improve observability, testing, and monitoring for reliability and performance.
• Govern data access, security, compliance and governance controls across platforms.
