Job description

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Risk Analyst – Advanced to participate and execute on third-party risk management projects, aiding the delivery of the bank’s Third-Party Risk (TPR) governance requirements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

Key activities include but are not limited to: perform extensive analytics to understand and report on supplier risk performance, support the execution of regular reporting processes and explore automation opportunities, support third-party risk and compliance projects, identify and implement process improvements across FSMO operations, and work with and train stakeholders on the third-party risk framework.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an operational role with significant experience in third-party supplier risk management frameworks and methodologies
  • 2+ years of extensive reporting experience, including data capturing, analytics, and storytelling in PowerPoint
  • 2+ years of project management and process improvement experience, including business case creation and complex requirements explanation
  • 1+ years of experience in compliance projects based on complex regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in Financial Institutions with exposure to finance regulations (OSFI, FRB, etc.) is a plus
  • Ability to interpret ambiguous requirements, question, investigate, and clarify them
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality reports and perform complex analytics
  • Practical knowledge of supplier risk mitigation is highly preferred
  • Experience in planning and change management, with adaptability to changing demands and time constraints
  • Strong relationship management skills and a team-oriented approach
  • Maturity and judgment to interact effectively with executive stakeholders
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with flexibility and resourcefulness

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Understanding of third-party risk and relationship management lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Archer
  • Experience in third-party risk mitigation
  • Data management and visualization skills, such as Tableau

  • Quick learner and coachable with the ability to grasp complex concepts

Education:

  • University degree in Business, Risk, or a related discipline
