Overview
As part of the Global IT Risk organization within Global Security, the Technology Risk Analytics, Reporting, and Development team focuses on harmonizing risk reporting globally, enhancing governance, and strengthening risk management practices. This involves designing, developing, and executing metrics, ensuring quality assurance, and managing stakeholder needs to deliver critical reports that facilitate proactive risk management.
Responsibilities
- Develop templates to standardize risk reporting across regions.
- Create accurate, timely reports (weekly, monthly, etc.) for all regions, including detailed analyses for Senior Management.
- Design, develop, and implement standardized reports aligned with the risk framework.
- Conduct quarterly analyses of operational risk profiles, investigating variances as needed.
- Develop and maintain reports to meet regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze breaches, impacts, and overall IT risk.
- Investigate emerging risks, engaging with SMEs to develop risk features and insights.
- Support governance practices, including maintaining audit trails for reporting.
Risk Analytics
- Maintain governance of risk metrics, supporting development and maintenance of IT risk metrics.
- Assess opportunities to increase risk metric coverage using the risk management framework.
- Develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) meeting regulatory standards.
- Analyze trends, causes, and variances.
- Build relationships across the enterprise to align metrics and reporting.
- Support governance practices, including audit trail maintenance.
Qualifications
Must-have:
- University degree or equivalent; professional designations such as CRISC, CISSP preferred.
- Experience with SQL, MS Access, Python, Tableau, and data visualization tools.
- Proven ability to design presentations for senior management.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid risk management foundation.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, research, and quantitative skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Background in data governance.
- Ability to think analytically, navigate ambiguity, and propose solutions.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of RBC’s businesses, products, and organization.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with Archer, IIPM, or similar Data Architect tools.
- Comfortable managing large data sets.
