Job summary

SC Johnson seeks a Senior Analyst, Demand Planning for Canada to own forecast accuracy across ~300 SKUs. You’ll partner with Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to develop, publish, and adjust demand plans, incorporating promotions, distributions, and market changes.

You will drive S&OP activities, analyze forecast drivers, and identify improvements to reduce risk and improve operational efficiency. A university degree and 3+ years in demand planning are required.

About The Role

As the Senior Analyst, Demand Planning, your primary responsibility is to own the relationship and input from sales. In this role you will ensure a forecast for a subset of the Canadian business is developed, reviewed, published and adjusted as needed through partnerships with cross functionals in Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain. You will manage a portfolio of approximately 300 SKUs and will develop a forecast by using insights such as promotional plans, distribution changes, shipment history, competitor activities and marketing plans. This position is a key driver in creating and managing the true consumer demand signals by which to align the rest of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead collaboration calls with key sales accounts to review and adjust the forecast, based on customer input
• Act as a key contributor in the S&OE process, to ensure our short term plans are reflective of changes, pacing, sale demand change requests and mitigate risk.
• Participate in Step 1 and 2 of the S&OP process, collaborating with Design Planner and presenting short term and customer specific forecast changes to senior leadership teams for alignment.
• Analyze historical and future demand inputs such as distribution changes, price changes, new product launches, and calculate their impacts on demand.
• Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
• Review monthly demand sensing recommendations for short term forecast changes
• Work with cross-functional partners on projects such as new product launches, obsolescence, and transitions to evaluate assumptions– new product forecast, pipeline fill, and cannibalization.
• Collaborate with Sales on advertising and promotional plans and evaluate against performance from similar historical activities.
• Ensure demand plan is shared in level of detail and timing required by internal customers and supply chain partners with documented assumptions, including risks and opportunities.
• Conduct monthly root cause analyses on forecast error and identify corrective actions.
• Measure, analyze, and communicate key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators, while driving continuous improvement.

Required Experience You’ll Bring

• University Degree Required.
• +3 years of combined experience in demand planning, sales, and/or supply chain.

Preferred Experiences And Skills

• University Degree in Operations Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field
• Experience in CPG industry preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across all levels within the organization.
• Ability to drive action and influence decision making at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
• Quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.
• Experience with planning applications such as SAP, APO, Kinaxis, or SAS
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot

The Company's Total Rewards package is at or above industry levels. The expected base salary range for this position is between 79,958.00 CAD - 104,944.35 CAD. Job related skills, experience, education, and location will be considered in setting actual starting base salary.
