Job summary

Dream Unlimited, a leading Canadian real estate investment, development and management company, seeks a Senior Analyst in Toronto to support asset and portfolio management. The role reports to the Associate Director, Portfolio Management and offers room for growth.

Strong financial modeling, real estate knowledge and communication skills are required. The position is hybrid, with a base salary in the CAD 85,000–95,000 range plus a performance-based bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of asset management, valuations, corporate finance/transaction advisory, or financial analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or real estate; CFA/CBV/CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate possesses a strong financial modeling/technical background, real estate and business writing. Additionally, we are looking for someone who has strong attention to detail, can synthesize large amounts of information and is well organized. What will you do?

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role:

• Be involved in project analysis, asset management and other investment and portfolio initiatives.
• Support the process for updating quarterly IFRS asset valuations for the investment portfolio and annual 3 rd party appraisals.
• Participate in operational update meetings, track operational activities, and conduct industry research.
• Act as an information and analysis resource to all levels of the organization, including senior management and senior accounting personnel.
• Co-ordinate with partners on investments, analyze pro formas relating to income properties and development projects and perform variance analysis as needed.
• Track/monitor investment performance and prepare reporting materials for management.
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly board meeting materials, investor presentations, analysis related to the corporate model and the annual business plan.

What type of experience should you have?

These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table:

• 2-4 years of applicable work experience: asset management, valuations, corporate finance/transaction advisory, or financial analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or real estate. Enrolled in or completed the following programs is considered a plus (CFA/CBV/CPA).
• Strong technical skills with a focus on financial analysis and data manipulation using Excel.
• An assertive self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and organization is required.
• Superior interpersonal and oral/ written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

This is a regular, full-time position with a base salary range of $85,000–$95,000. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible for a performance-based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes paid vacation and personal days, flexible benefits, mental health resources, access to perks and discounts, professional development support, and team-building and social events.

Compensation is determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, total years of experience, industry experience, education, and professional designations. We recognize that exceptional talent doesn’t always fit neatly into a bracket. Final compensation will be tailored to your specific experience, skills and the unique value you bring to the table. If your qualifications exceed the scope of this role, we may be open to adjusting the mandate – and the salary – to reflect that expertise.
