Job Description

The Senior Analyst, FP&A, will join the Brookfield Wealth Solutions Finance team and report to the Director, Finance (FP&A). The role involves supporting business planning and forecasting processes, including trend analysis and performance tracking against financial targets. The successful candidate will prepare analyses and presentations, working collaboratively with finance and operations teams, portfolio company management, and the finance teams of BAM and BN.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the preparation of regular financial forecasts and related analytics.
  2. Review quarterly earnings forecast submissions from operating companies.
  3. Identify unusual variances for follow-up.
  4. Use knowledge of business plans to identify inconsistencies or changes in forecasts.
  5. Assess the impact of macroeconomic factors on forecasted results.
  6. Compare actual results to forecasts, analyze variances, and follow up with relevant contacts.
  7. Summarize variances clearly in writing and verbally for senior management.
  8. Support quarterly and year-end financial reporting, including management’s discussion and analysis.
  9. Assist in preparing Asset Management reports on key metrics like assets under management, fee revenues, and fee-related earnings.
  10. Collaborate with contacts to understand reasons for metric changes.
  11. Create clear report summaries, analyses, and reconciliations.
  12. Work with teams to develop and consolidate a 5-year business plan annually.
  13. Build relationships with operating companies to understand their strategies and risks.
  14. Ensure business plan submissions align with accounting policies.
  15. Incorporate corporate assumptions into the business plan.
  16. Translate detailed plans into presentations for senior management.
  17. Develop PowerPoint presentations to communicate financial insights.
  18. Prepare files and tables for ad-hoc analyses.
  19. Identify opportunities to improve processes for efficiency and growth.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  2. Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA).
  3. 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or reporting.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  5. Experience with OneStream is a plus.
  6. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail skills.
  7. Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  8. Self-motivated, proactive, and independent.
  9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  10. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  11. Interest in process improvement and shared success.
  12. High ethical standards and integrity.
