Compensation : $95000.00 to $105000.00 yearly

If you have prior experience in finance, Robert Half may have an excellent Senior Analyst opportunity for you. Do you wish to work at a progressive company with a growing team? Primary job functions consist of conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Senior Analyst, FP& A role, which is located in Edmonton, Alberta, is a full-time employment opportunity. A dynamic team is seeking a key business partner to join their efforts. The right candidate must be proficient in budgeting and forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management.

What you get to do every day

• Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to assist with the proper execution of budget plans
• Enable successful Business Intelligence (BI) to deliver valuable foresight and decision support
• Survey performance to date and assess potential opportunities and risks
• Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to ensure business partners handle their resources
• Assemble and review forecasting reports
• An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations
• Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as : Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
• Drive P& L forecasting on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis
• Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending
• Work with the Accounting team on monthly and quarterly financial close processes
• Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required

Job Requirements :

• Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
• Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
• Knowledge of variance analysis
• Deep understanding of Manufacturing Variance
