Senior Analyst, Compliance and Risk Management

Our Compliance & Risk Management Group in Business Enablement Services is looking for an Analyst, Risk Management, to join our growing team. The group helps ensure the firm and its personnel are in compliance with Professional, Regulatory, and KPMG Global policies and standards. This role focuses on monitoring compliance with standards related to personal independence, including those established by the SEC, PCAOB, CPA Code of Professional Conduct, IESBA Code, and AICPA.

This is a remote position.

What You Will Do

• Develop understanding of independence rules and internal policies by consulting with subject matter experts and reviewing risk management manuals.
• Conduct compliance audits for personal independence, monitoring adherence to standards.
• Assess, summarize, and escalate potential policy breaches.
• Respond to inquiries via the KICS help desk regarding investments and independence policies.
• Assist partners and staff with compliance tasks and ad hoc projects.

What You Bring To The Role

• Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in business or finance preferred.
• Strong research and analytical skills to interpret standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in high-volume environments, maintaining quality under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively remotely.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and maintaining professional relationships.
• Handling sensitive/confidential information appropriately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Business-level English fluency.

The salary range for this position in BC is $54,000 to $81,000, with potential bonuses, based on location and qualifications. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
