Guidepoint is expanding its applied AI programs and seeks a hands-on Senior AI Engineer to take prototypes to production. You’ll own multi-agent design, orchestration, and production APIs, collaborating with product, engineering, and compliance.

This hybrid role is based in Toronto with strong emphasis on safe tool use and dependable workflows. You will build scalable AI pipelines, ground results in trusted data, and contribute to evaluation methodologies for quality and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in production AI/LLM-powered products.
• Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering with 6+ years professional backend experience; or Master’s with 4+ years in backend software engineering and Generative AI.
• Experience designing and shipping multi-agent or agentic workflows in production.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship multi-agent workflows with task planning, tool use, and result synthesis.
• Ensure dependable agent behavior with permissions, domain rules, and safe tool use.
• Own orchestration and state with robust error handling, retries, and recovery.
• Develop production Python services and APIs connecting agents to products and data.
• Ground responses in trusted data via retrieval and search pipelines.
