Job summary

Chubb, a leading insurer, is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to own architecting agentic systems that put AI in front of business users in Canada. You will design end-to-end agent loops, optimize performance, and ensure reliability across core workflows in underwriting and claims.

You will work across system integration, memory management, and tool orchestration, applying production Python and modern agent frameworks to deliver robust, scalable AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Production Python expertise with real-world deployment.
• Experience building and debugging agentic systems in production.
• Ability to reason about latency, token budget and multi-step agent tradeoffs.
• Experience with evaluation and measurement in business contexts.
• Fluency with Claude Code and Codex in workflow tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic systems end-to-end: agent loop design, orchestration, memory/state, tool integrations, and multi-agent workflows.
• Make agents reliable: diagnose loop stalls, tool misuse, and behavior drift; design guardrails for real traffic.
• Measure agent quality continuously: create evaluation sets, regression checks, and explain failures.
• Tune tradeoffs on latency, answer quality, and token cost for production viability.
• Integrate agents with systems/data; move from prototype to business-ready production.
