Job summary

Chubb Canada is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to own agentic architectures that deploy models for business users. You’ll design, orchestrate, and optimize agentic systems to be reliable in production, with emphasis on performance and governance.

You will work across underwriting, claims, and core workflows, balancing latency, cost, and quality while integrating with systems of record. Strong Python and familiarity with Claude tools are required.

Qualifications

• Production Python expertise with agent frameworks.
• Experience building production agentic systems.
• A feel for performance: latency, token budget, tradeoffs.
• Familiar with Claude Code and Codex in workflow.
• Strong discipline: tests, version control, reproducibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic systems end-to-end: agent loop design, orchestration, memory and state, tool integrations, and multi-agent workflows
• Make agents reliable: diagnose loop stalls, tool misuse, or drift, and design guardrails
• Measure agent quality with evaluation sets and regression checks that reflect real workflows
• Tune latency, quality, and token cost tradeoffs for usable agents
• Integrate agents with systems and data for production use
