Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior AI Controls Lead to drive governance, controls, and risk management for AI initiatives across Global Technology. The role partners with risk, compliance, information security, and legal teams to ensure secure and compliant AI deployment.

The ideal candidate combines deep AI governance knowledge with experience in regulatory contexts, control design, and cross-functional leadership to advance enterprise AI risk programs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology risk, information security, technology controls, AI governance, AI engineering, enterprise architecture, or related technology leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience assessing AI solutions, AI platforms, and AI control capabilities.
• Deep understanding of AI governance, AI risk management, Responsible AI principles, and technology control frameworks.
• Experience developing and implementing controls for AI, ML, and Generative AI technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG architectures, and related security controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI governance, risk management, and control maturity across Global Technology.
• Develop and maintain AI control requirements aligned with policy, standards, and regulatory expectations.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Information Security, Model Risk Management, Legal, and Engineering teams.
• Support adoption of AI policies, standards, procedures, and governance processes.
• Provide executive communications on AI governance, controls, and risk management.
• Influence enterprise AI strategy and establish scalable governance practices.
• Manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment with accountability.
• Build partnerships across technology and control functions to drive execution.
