Job summary

Knak in Canada is seeking a Senior Software Developer, AI Agents, to build the agent harness and scale the AI components behind our marketing platform. You will own orchestration, tool calling, context management, and guardrails, delivering measurable value to customers through robust data analysis and automation.

You will mentor engineers, influence architecture, work with product and DevOps, and help craft a world-class SaaS product.

Qualifications

• Experience building LLM-powered agents in production.
• Strong backend development in Python/Node.js.
• Familiarity with SaaS architecture and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Build the agent harness: core runtime, orchestration, tool definitions, context mgmt.
• Own agent evaluations: datasets, evaluators, and LLM-as-judge pipelines.
• Iterate on agent quality: diagnose failures, tune prompts, benchmarks.
• Create AI microservices: Python and Node.js services for hosting and interaction.
• Build reliable APIs: Laravel APIs that integrate agents into Knak platform.
• Deploy to the cloud: AWS services for scalable infrastructure.
• Optimize databases: MySQL tuning and indexing.
• Elevate code quality: code reviews and high standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: with product, design, QA, DevOps.
