Job summary

Replicant in Canada is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Agents on our Delivery team, to own the end-to-end development of AI agents for our customers. You’ll sit with clients to understand workflows, design prompts and tool integrations, and ship production-grade agent behavior from first prompt to live deployment.

You’ll collaborate across product, engineering, and customer teams, write reliable prompts, supervise tool calls, and help scale live conversations with guardrails and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing strength with ability to translate business problems into concrete plans.
• Integration patterns to connect an agent to APIs and tools with reliable calls.
• Prompt design and instruction crafting with eval-first approach.
• Experience with TypeScript, Python or SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own AI agents for assigned customers across the full lifecycle: discovery, design, build, evaluation, launch, live operation.
• Map customer workflows and translate business goals into concrete agent scope and rules.
• Design prompts, instructions, and conversation flows; iterate on real transcripts and evals.
• Wire agent integrations to customer systems; specify API needs and test tool calls.
• Build test sets covering happy paths, edge cases, and hallucination risks; monitor performance.
• Monitor live conversations, debug from logs, ship fixes under pressure.
• Feed insights back to Product to improve next agents.
