Senior Advisor, Training and Talent Development

Levis, QC, Canada

Job Description

As a Senior Advisor, Training and Talent Development, you will participate in the development and implementation of training and talent development programs. You will optimize training investments and support the development of new learning methods to facilitate knowledge transfer among employees. You will provide advisory support to management for major training projects.

More specifically, you will:

  1. Evaluate, analyze, and structure the company’s training needs with department managers to address skill gaps within teams.
  2. Develop and submit learning strategies tailored to managers’ needs, providing learning paths aligned with company objectives.
  3. Define assessment methods suited to the target audience and develop necessary tools.
  4. Review and monitor learning paths.
  5. Participate, as required, in ad hoc committees on various company projects.
  6. Identify and develop partnerships with external suppliers, including sectoral committees and educational institutions, to support the current and future skill development of employees.
  7. Support managers in change management during the implementation of competency profiles.
  8. Assist managers in developing career development plans for their teams.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related field in skill development.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in corporate training and organizational development projects, including in industrial and trade environments.
  3. Strong ability to understand organizational needs and challenges.
  4. Up-to-date knowledge of new trends in skill development and training.
  5. Good judgment in analyzing and resolving complex situations, ability to quickly learn the use of new applications, processes, and technologies.
  6. Knowledge of pedagogical design methods and adult learning principles, as well as media production techniques.
  7. Collaborative, team-oriented, creative, inquisitive, adaptable, and tolerant to change.
  8. Ability to influence and support partners in change management and teamwork.
