Job summary

Desjardins seeks a senior capital markets and treasury advisor to lead complex financial market and treasury initiatives. You will coordinate with diverse stakeholders and coach decision-makers, driving innovative projects across the organization.

The role emphasizes strategic thinking, advanced English proficiency, and fluency in French, with a strong focus on collaboration and impact within the capital markets domain. Montreal-based, with some telework options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of six years of relevant experience.
• Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.
• Knowledge of French is required.
• Advanced proficiency of English due to the duties or work tools, or interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients.

• Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support the unit’s strategic projects and initiatives.
• Identify, analyze and diagnose major issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies.
• Represent the unit before decision-making bodies.
• Represent Desjardins’s position when making agreements with external partners and organizations.

Job description

As a senior capital markets and treasury advisor, you help carry out financial market, capital market and treasury activities, projects and initiatives. You lead development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your specialty area. You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you interact with stakeholders working in many other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as specialist advisor and subject matter expert as well as resource person and coach for decision‑making bodies. Plus spécifiquement, vous serez amené(e) à :
