The Electricity Finance Branch provides financial and economic policy analysis and advice to the Minister and Deputy Minister of Finance, Cabinet, and senior Finance officials on the fiscal impacts on the government of the electricity sector. This includes the financial performance of Ontario Power Generation (OPG), Hydro One, and the Ontario Electricity Financial Corporation (OEFC). The branch also offers analysis and advice on new electricity supply initiatives and supports the implementation of the Ontario Nuclear Funds Agreement (ONFA).
Effective April 1, 2024, the salary range for this position is $88,496.00 to $128,625.00 per year. These rates, confirmed recently and effective retroactively to April 1, 2024, are still pending implementation dates.
