REDspace in Canada is seeking a Senior Software Developer to own the architecture of our ad tech stack. You will influence foundational decisions, move fluidly between technical details and product strategy, and help tough systems scale to support billions of ad requests daily.

You will collaborate across product and engineering to reduce latency, improve reliability, and advance privacy and data-handling frameworks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on experience across the advertising domain including OpenRTB, Pre-bid, server-side and header bidding.
• Solid programming and architecture fundamentals; domain knowledge is essential.
• Experience building data pipelines and real-time systems at scale.
• Ability to simplify complex architectures and step into unfamiliar systems.
• Anticipates regulatory and technical shifts and plans accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the ad stack, delivering high-throughput, low-latency services.
• Set technical direction and influence how systems are built and scaled.
• Lead resolution of bottlenecks and hard problems impacting bid paths.
• Collaborate with product to shape what gets built and justify trade-offs.
• Set standards, mentor engineers, and uphold code quality and documentation.
• Advise leadership on long-term technical strategy and data handling.
