Job summary

PartnerRe Ltd. in Toronto seeks an Actuarial Associate or Senior Actuarial Associate to join the Global AXIS Modelling team. You will support high-impact modelling initiatives that strengthen tools, processes, model quality, and controls, collaborating with Operations, Pricing and Valuation.

The role is ideal for a technically strong candidate with AXIS experience, 3 years of Life & Health actuarial work, and strong Excel/VBA. ASA/CIA progress encouraged. Hybrid work with base salary in CAD.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Life & Health actuarial experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• ASA designation or significant progress toward it or CIA education.
• Experience with AXIS modelling.
• Strong Excel skills with VBA.
• Knowledge of R and SQL is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage, create, maintain and enhance AXIS valuation models for life and health reinsurance.
• Model new treaties and provide guidance to team members.
• Improve valuation tools, streamline processes, and boost controls.
• Lead model validation, audit support, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across functions on ad hoc projects.
