Job summary

Aviva Canada is seeking an experienced actuarial professional to join the Large Accounts Pricing team, focusing on pricing and profitability for commercial accounts above $2M. You will provide actuarial analysis across Property, Casualty, and Auto products, collaborating with underwriters and leadership to support financial goals.

The role demands leading indication analyses, high-value pricing reviews, and communicating complex results to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of P&C actuarial experience.
• Completion of 6+ CAS exams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct indication analysis to ensure rate adequacy of individual accounts.
• Lead pricing reviews of high value complex portfolios and provide rate recommendations.
• Recommend alternative pricing solutions based on the unique characteristics of the large accounts
• Evaluate and quantify credit risk for accounts with large retentions.
• Effectively communicate results of analyses to managers, underwriters, brokers, and senior management to deliver impactful solutions.
• Drive process improvements and automation opportunities to improve sophistication, efficiency and analytical capabilities.
• Coach and mentor senior and junior analysts and co-op students.
