Job summary

Allstate Canada Group is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to support the achievement of the company’s mission and strategic objectives. The role requires advanced actuarial knowledge and the ability to work independently while mentoring junior analysts.

The candidate will interpret and communicate actuarial analyses to stakeholders across the organization and help develop, implement and maintain performance plans with deliverables and metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial, statistics, or similar field.
• ACAS preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of product, price, risk management and insurance regulation.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert in cross-functional projects.
• Function as a liaison between business units and systems or other areas of responsibility.
• Identify, develop and integrate SAS and Visual Basic programs for actuarial projects and procedures.
• Support and/or lead the development/design of new rating plans, products, processes and methodologies.
• Coach, develop, review and delegate work to junior actuarial staff.
• Communicate complex analyses and results to colleagues and business partners and provide recommendations.
• Provide services to support Pricing Managers and Province Managers with rate changes and filings.
• Ensure adherence to CAS and CIA Standards of Practice.
