Job summary

Trillium Mutual Insurance is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join the Pricing, Data & Analytics team. You will provide actuarial and analytics expertise on rate making, data processing, and strategic projects.

The role requires a Mathematics/Actuarial degree, ACAS preferred, 3+ years P&C actuarial experience, and proficiency with SAS, SQL, Excel. Hybrid work from Ontario is possible.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science.
• Certification in Mathematics, Actuarial, ACAS preferred.
• 3+ years actuarial experience in the P&C sector.
• Thorough understanding of actuarial price indications.
• Proficiency with SAS, SQL, Excel.
• Practical experience with Emblem.
• Good working knowledge of Guidewire.

Responsibilities

• Work autonomously on challenging and strategic projects in areas such as rate making, data science, corporate planning and more.
• Lead large scale actuarial projects.
• Perform rate indications.
• Perform GLM analysis on Personal and Commercial Lines of business with a focus on Farm Insurance.
• Process, validate and analyze data to create critical reports for business & operations.
• Drive innovation with projects at the frontier of actuarial science and data science.
