Job summary

Jobtailor in Montreal is seeking a seasoned Accounts Receivable leader to own the end-to-end AR cycle and drive cash flow improvements.

You will lead collections, aging, and reconciliations, and mentor the AR team while collaborating with Finance and Operations to optimize processes and systems including NetSuite.

Job description

• Own the end-to-end Accounts Receivable cycle
• Lead collection activities and follow up on outstanding balances to improve cash flow and reduce DSO
• Own AR aging processes, identify risks and trends, and monitor outstanding accounts
• Oversee posting, cash applications, reconciliations, and related controls
• Establish and manage escalation processes for overdue accounts, disputes, payment delays, and complex collection matters
• Collaborate with Agents, Talent Management, Operations, Finance, customers, and other internal teams
• Prioritize team workload and provide day-to-day guidance and development
• Establish and monitor AR KPIs, including aging, DSO, collection performance, and outstanding balances
• Develop and maintain AR monitoring tools and reporting for Finance leadership
• Improve and automate AR workflows, systems, and internal controls, including NetSuite enhancements
• Remain hands-on in day-to-day AR operations and resolve complex matters

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, collections, credit, or financial operations
• Significant experience managing the full accounts receivable cycle, including collections, aging, cash application, reconciliations, and dispute resolution
• Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring an AR or finance team
• Strong understanding of cash flow management and collection strategies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to analyze AR KPIs, including DSO and aging
• Strong ERP experience; NetSuite experience is considered a strong asset
• Excellent communication and escalation-management skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a talent agency, entertainment, media, advertising, creative, or similar industry is an asset
