Forvis Mazars in Canada is seeking an Accounting Technician within our Outsourcing Services team to manage a portfolio of clients, handle bookkeeping, and oversee tax compliance. You will work with diverse entities, contributing to accurate financial reporting and client service excellence.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Accounting (DVS or DEC) and at least five years of experience, with strong MS Office skills and knowledge of QuickBooks Online.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or College Diploma (DEC) in Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software; IFRS knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping activities for a variety of clients across different industries and assist in reviewing the work completed by team members.
• Record revenues and expenses, perform bank reconciliations, and complete other tasks related to the accounting cycle.
• Prepare tax compliance filings, including sales tax returns, corporate income tax returns, and annual tax slips.
• Coordinate the delivery of client deliverables in collaboration with the Director.
