Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our Finance team in Brampton, overseeing consolidation across entities and leading a high-performing accounting group.

You will manage month-end close, intercompany activity, and robust financial reporting to support senior management and strategic decisions. The role requires a CPA or equivalent, 5+ years in controllership or senior accounting, and a strong command of GAAP/ASPE, internal controls, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in controllership or senior role.
• Experience with GAAP/ASPE and intercompany transactions.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting.
• Perform review and quality-control procedures over financial statements, supporting schedules, and analyses.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required documentation and explanations.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, including workload allocation, performance management, coaching, and training.
• Establish and improve accounting processes and internal controls for efficiency and accuracy.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances, trends, and unusual transactions.
• Support senior management with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc projects.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high standards of reporting and team performance.
