Job summary

Charger Logistics, a leading cross-border logistics provider with operations across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager in Brampton, Ontario. You will oversee consolidation, month-end close, and financial reporting for multiple entities, while coordinating audits and strengthening internal controls.

The role requires a CPA or equivalent, 5+ years in senior accounting, and a proven ability to lead a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in controllership or senior role.
• Experience with GAAP/ASPE and intercompany reporting.
• Strong internal controls and audit coordination experience.
• Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems; improving reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities.
• Manage month-end and year-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review financial statements and support schedules for accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors; provide documentation and explanations.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, including workload and performance management.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency.
• Analyze variances, trends, and unusual transactions; provide insights to management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial projects.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high standards of reporting.
