Job summary

Responsible Energy Corporation, a Canadian clean-tech company listed on the TSXV, is seeking a Senior Accountant in Maitland, Ontario. You will support day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and system improvements while reporting to the CFO and participating in audits.

The role requires IFRS expertise, strong analytical skills, and a hands-on approach with multi-entity accounting experience. This is a full-time position with relocation support and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and practical IFRS application in financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and provide analysis and recommendations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and data analysis ability.
• Experience preparing audit working papers and supporting external audits.
• Knowledge of US GAAP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain general ledger and investigate discrepancies or unusual transactions.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities.
• Support audit requests and respond to information requests from external auditors.
• Contribute to IFRS policy documentation and accounting controls improvements.
• Assist in maintaining core accounting processes including AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets.
