BDO Canada is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant o r Manager to join our Accounting Advisory Services team. This role focuses on delivering expert guidance to clients on complex accounting matters. Working closely with clients, you will provide innovative, sector-specific solutions to support their financial reporting and business needs. This role can be done from any of our Canadian office locations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support and execute Accounting Advisory projects related to IFRS, US GAAP, and ASPE, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Assist clients with the implementation and application of accounting standards, including the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Collaborate with clients to address technical accounting issues, draft technical memoranda, and provide insights to resolve complex financial reporting challenges.
- Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, and related materials to clearly communicate technical findings and recommendations.
- Liaise with external auditors, facilitating clear and effective communication.
- Stay updated on developments in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry trends to offer informed client support.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues across service lines to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs.

Your experience and education :
- CPA designation with at least 3-5years of experience in accounting advisory, financial reporting, or audit with a focus on technical accounting issues.
- Proficiency in IFRS and ASPE; knowledge of US GAAP is an asset.
- Strong report-writing and presentation skills, including creating materials for various audiences.
- Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
