Kal Tire in Vernon, BC seeks a Senior Accountant to lead Canadian operations finance activities onsite. The role supports monthly and annual reporting under IFRS, ensuring data integrity and strong internal controls.

You will collaborate with divisional management and act as a subject matter expert on Kal Tire’s accounting practices. The position demands CPA designation and 5+ years of financial accounting experience, with advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in financial accounting.
CPA designation is required.
Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency.
Experience with IFRS reporting and compliance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare or review branch-level, divisional and legal entity financial statements.
Undertake analysis and resolution of complex accounting issues.
Review account reconciliations prepared by other team members.
Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and impacts on the books.
Ensure internal controls and complete supporting documentation.
Mentor and lead Accounting team; assist in recruiting and training.
