CarboNet, a Vancouver-based water treatment company, seeks a Senior Accountant to own month-end close and full-cycle accounting operations in a hybrid role. You will work with leadership on fundraising, strategic planning, and financial analysis while maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting skills with month-end close experience.
• CPA designation or working toward it.
• Ability to work independently in a lean environment.
• Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to wear multiple hats.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close process and financial statement preparation.
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and accrual entries.
• Process payroll and coordinate with HR on compensation matters.
• Assist in the preparation of management, investor, and board reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for growth.
• Build and document accounting procedures as we scale.
• Collaborate with external auditors and advisors.
