Job summary

Carbonet Nanotechnologies Inc. in Vancouver is seeking an Accountant in a hybrid role designed for someone pursuing CPA designation. You will gain hands-on experience across our full accounting cycle, with structured mentorship and exposure to fundraising and strategic planning.

You will work closely with leadership to support month-end close, reporting, and financial operations while building scalable processes in a small, growing company.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in CPA program or equivalent accounting designation.
• Strong foundational accounting knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with guidance.
• Detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead month-end close process.
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and accrual entries.
• Process payroll and coordinate with HR on compensation matters.
• Assist in the preparation of management, investor, and board reporting.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Help build and document accounting procedures as we scale.
• Coordinate with external auditors and advisors.
