Job summary

Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres (CATC) is seeking a Senior Accountant to support multiple Canadian divisions. You will own full-cycle accounting, including A/P, A/R, billing, payroll, and financial reporting, while ensuring accuracy and timely close.

You will collaborate with the Corporate Controller and cross-functional teams to drive improvements and uphold controls. The role requires 2–3 years in senior accounting, a relevant degree, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a senior accountant or similar full cycle accounting role.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
• Accounting designation (CPA/CGA/CMA) is an asset.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms.
• Experience with full cycle accounting (A/P, A/R, Billing, Payroll, Financial Reporting).
• Experience with automated A/P and expense management platforms.
• Prior SAP Concur experience is an asset.
• Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) skills.
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Corporate Controller and provide support to finance functions.
• Manage full cycle accounting for divisions across Canada (A/P, Billing, A/R, Financial Reporting).
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with AP, Billing, and Payroll teams to ensure accurate transactions.
• Perform monthly P&L variance analysis and location-based reporting.
• Assist with yearly budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
• Monitor key performance metrics weekly/monthly.
• Prepare documentation for external auditors and respond to inquiries.
• Produce ad hoc financial analysis as required.
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations with operations and present variance analyses.
