Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional service to clients under varying reporting frameworks across different industries and sectors.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute financial statements with appropriate note disclosures.
  • Conduct financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, including budgeting and resource planning.
  • Plan and execute fieldwork assignments, accounting for budget and resource needs.
  • Contribute to building our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors of our growing practice.
  • Supervise, coach, and provide timely feedback to junior engagement team members on diverse engagements.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Completed post‑secondary degree/diploma.
  • CPA (CPA, CA; CPA, CMA or CPA, CGA) accreditation, or near completion.
  • Minimum 2 years of public practice experience in audit, reviews & compilations.
  • Strong technical expertise in audit, accounting, and tax.
  • Experience in tax return preparation.
  • Strong focus on exceptional client service and relationships.
  • Strong planning and time‑management skills.
  • Proven problem‑solving with solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualise new approaches and solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members considered an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite and accounting software applications (CaseWare, TaxPrep, Sage, QuickBooks) and ability to quickly grasp new technology tools.

Salary range for this role is $70,000–$80,000 in Victoria. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
