Summary

We are seeking an Senior in-house Accountant for full cycle accounting for two related companies. This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude, a growth mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for two sets of books
• Prepare journal entries, bank and account reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections
• preparation and reconciliation of government remittances (HST / WSIB / EHT)
• Prepare monthly financial reports and maintain accurate records
• Prepare budgets, forecasting and cash flow reports as required
• Liaison & prepare year end working papers for external auditor

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field
• CPA designation or equivalent
• Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on accounting experience in food manufacturing environment
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office, (especially Excel)
• Experience with multi-entity accounting is a strong asset
• High attention to detail, well-organized, and reliable
• Must be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders, colleagues and staff
• Must be able to lead, direct, and take charge
• Possess a driven and growth mindset and be results focused
• Self-starter who can manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Must have valid drivers license and own vehicle
