Job Title: Senior Accountant
The Senior Corporate Accountant plays a key role in financial reporting, technical accounting, audit coordination, and process improvement initiatives. This position involves collaboration across departments and international operations, with a focus on IFRS compliance, system oversight, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, consolidations, and preparation of financial statement disclosures.
- Prepare accounting working papers and liaise with external auditors, managing the audit process and responding to queries.
- Oversee technical accounting matters, including the implementation of new IFRS standards and SOX compliance.
- Conduct group revenue analysis for multiple mine sites, fair market value adjustments, and MD&A support.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline revenue reporting workflows, reduce close timelines, and enhance automation.
- Prepare tax models and assess taxable income using forecast data, including commodity pricing and intercompany transactions.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for SG&A expenses across multiple entities.
- Review journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and conduct quarterly foreign exchange analysis involving multicurrency.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and note disclosures in accordance with IFRS.
- Manage deferred revenue accounting related to metal stream agreements, ensuring accurate recognition of fair value and accrued invoices.
- Review cash flow statements and continuity schedules prepared by corporate accountants.
- Process month- and quarter-end journal entries using Sage and SAP (S/4HANA).
- Prepare derivative accounting entries for various financial instruments, including FX collars, copper collars, swaps, and time spreads.
- Oversee chart of accounts mapping, data integrity validation, and system testing across multiple entities.
- Collaborate with departments such as sales, marketing, and treasury on cross-functional projects.
- Lead country-by-country reporting assessments in accordance with CRA and OECD frameworks, especially in post-merger contexts.
- Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, SAP (including S/4HANA), and financial statement preparation.
- CPA designation or equivalent.
- Experience with financial consolidations and technical accounting.
Preferred Qualifications
- ERP implementation experience.
- Spanish language proficiency.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 per year.
