Job description

Our client, one of Canada's largest entertainment companies, is rapidly growing and looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their team in the accounting and finance division. The position is based in-office, five days a week in Downtown Toronto.

The Role

This role reports to the Associate Director of Finance and is responsible for full-cycle accounting duties. These include bank reconciliations, managing in-house billing processes, tracking costing, overseeing month-end processes including the Profit and Loss statement, handling expense reporting, and reviewing contracts between the company and its clients.

The Qualifications

• University degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in the entertainment or hospitality industry
• A highly analytical, business-minded individual who is hands-on
• Proficient in Excel; proficiency in Sage Intacct is a significant asset
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Personable and enjoys engaging with people, as this role involves liaising across the company and with external partners outside of the accounting & finance space
• CPA designation is an asset but not mandatory
