Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant in Ajax, ON. The Senior Accountant will manage financial records, prepare financial statements, perform compilation engagements, conduct financial analysis, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. The role also includes overseeing accounts payable and receivable, preparing tax returns, and providing guidance on financial planning and investment strategies.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing standards
• Proficiency in financial analysis, tax preparation, and compliance
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience in the preparation of HST, T1 & T2 returns
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• A CPA designation or equivalent is required
• Experience in a public accounting firm for 5 years is an asset
• Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks, Sage, CaseWare, Tax Cycle and MS Office Suite
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
