The role involves preparing consolidated financial statements, analyzing variances, and implementing key internal controls. WHAT WE BELIEVEWe believe in inclusion, we believe in self-expression, we believe in no judgement and we believe in individualism.WHO WE AREWe are bold, we are tenacious, we are courageous and brave.We are a cast of characters;We embrace our differences and we share our likenesses.Some of What’s in it for You!Paid Personal DaysGenerous Benefit packageEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Loyalty Reward ProgramGenerous welcome giftCompany eventsFree Gym AccessFree ParkingDay Off On Your BirthdayDiscountsAs the Senior Accountant, you will be a crucial member of our Accounting / Finance team, driving delivery of monthly consolidated Financial Statements in a timely manner, and key contributor in successful implementation of initiatives to support the high growth mode in Moose Knuckles.Some of What You’ll Do : Accounting for the Canadian, European, US, and Asian entities as well as others as the company continues to growAnalysis of Profit & Loss variances against prior months, as well as maintenance of balance sheetAccounting for wholesale, e-commerce, and retail store operationsReconciling data between operating, POS, accounting, and reporting systemsCosting of inventory - including allocating standard costs and overhead to calculate total landed costs, as well as costing of units soldAnalyze inventory movement and challenge existing assumptions to help improve costing accuracyMonth-end close : including completion of specific analyses & reconciliations, update of files, and supporting Accounting Manager in delivery of Consolidated Financial Statements, including creation of supplementary reports and schedulesReview of monthly sales tax returns including Canadian, US and European filingsReview of general ledger activity ensuring appropriate allocation of revenues and expenses and variance analysis, including gross marginCalculating royalties, commissions, and management feesReconciliation of intercompany transactionsKey contributor in preparation of year-end and governmental audit files and assistance to auditorsMaintaining Chart of Accounts and rulesMiscellaneous analysis, collaboration with numerous other departments and a variety of special projects as required by ManagementDriver in implementation of key internal controlsSome of What You’ll need : 3 years of accounting experience or a CPA designationAdvanced Excel userStrong-technological skillsProficient in spoken and written EnglishExperience with Microsoft D365 and Momentis is an assetExperience in accounting for retail operations is a major plusExperience inventory and cost accounting is an assetSome of Who You Are : Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize several different tasksMust be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skillsStrong people and communication skills, and a team playerResults-driven, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including ability to manage the pressure of delivering month-end resultsMoose Knuckles is a Canadian company headquartered in Montreal and operating in North America, Europe and Asia.
