Job summary

Distinct in London, Ontario is hiring a Senior Accountant to manage year-end engagements, assurance and tax across a diverse client portfolio. You will collaborate with staff, manage client relationships and grow toward a managerial path in a hybrid work setup.

The role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to mentor junior staff while expanding technical breadth in ASPE, corporate and personal taxation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Canadian public accounting experience.
• CPA designated or close to completion.
• Experience with compilations and review engagements.
• Audit exposure would be an asset.
• Corporate and personal tax experience.
• Strong ASPE knowledge.
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients.
• CaseWare, TaxPrep, QuickBooks or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Handle year-end engagements, assurance and tax for a varied client portfolio.
• Work across privately owned businesses and support clients’ needs.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with Managers and Partners.
• Direct client contact to understand requirements and deliver value.
