Job summary

NVS Professional Corporation in Burlington, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant - Enterprise to lead Review and Compilation engagements and tax work with a focus on accuracy and client confidence. You will guide senior staff and collaborate with the Firm partners to support growth and excellence.

Ideal candidates have CPA near completion, strong accounting knowledge, and proficiency with CaseWare, Taxprep and QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting or equivalent and CPA near completion.
• Experience leading Review and Compilation Engagements and tax files.
• Proficient MS Office; can create formulas, VLOOKUP, pivots, analytics.
• Proficiency with CaseWare, Taxprep, QuickBooks/QBO and other bookkeeping software.

Responsibilities

Experience, Education and Knowledge Requirements

You are required to lead Review and/or Compilation Engagements while meeting the Firm's high-quality standards and provide technical expertise for Team Members who need support on their client files or specific questions from their clients.

• As a result, you must have a university degree in accounting or equivalent and enrolled, near completion of your CPA.
• You need to have comprehensive knowledge to be able to work through Review and Compilation Engagements and tax files independently in a public accounting firm setting. This comes with expert comprehension of accounting, tax rules and treatment and advanced level knowledge for corporate and personal returns. This technical knowledge typically comes with 3-5 years of working experience.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office, specifically, Word and Excel with the ability to create formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot table, data analytics etc.
• Proficiency with CaseWare, Taxprep, Quickbooks, QBO and other bookkeeping software
