Job summary

Synechron seeks a Semantic Model Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise semantic models enabling consistent data analysis. You will translate business requirements into logical data models, define metrics, and support reporting, analytics, and self-service BI initiatives.

The role emphasizes Power BI modeling, SSAS tabular/multidimensional cubes, and DAX optimization, with collaboration across stakeholders and banking clients. Hybrid work and Canada-based opportunities available.

Qualifications

Must have hands-on experience designing enterprise Power BI semantic models.
Experience with SSAS Tabular, Azure Analysis Services, or similar.
Advanced SQL and T-SQL development skills.
Strong stakeholder-management and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Semantic Model and Cube Development for enterprise data.
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI semantic models.
Develop and support SSAS tabular models and multidimensional cubes where applicable.
Translate banking and financial-reporting requirements into analytical models.
Create governed semantic layers for multiple reports and dashboards.
Optimize models, DAX calculations, and data-refresh processes.
Ensure data lineage and semantic consistency across reports.
