Job summary

Datavail Infotech is seeking a senior Power BI specialist to lead enterprise reporting modernization in Toronto. You will design, develop, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards using PBIP, while consuming shared semantic models via Live Connections.

You will collaborate with data architects, engineers, and analysts, delivering high‑quality BI solutions and ensuring governance, test validation, and deployment alignment across large-scale programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Power BI development experience.
• Experience with Power BI Service, Semantic Models, and enterprise deployment practices.
• Experience building reports using PBIP format and source-controlled development.
• Experience developing complex DAX measures, KPIs, calculated tables, and advanced calculations.
• Experience with Live Connections and DirectQuery semantic models.
• Experience migrating legacy BI platforms (SSRS, Cognos, BI, Tableau, or legacy Power BI reports).
• Experience in Agile delivery teams and Git-based version control and deployment processes.
• Experience supporting large-scale reporting programs from pilot through enterprise rollout.
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
• Experience with Fabric Semantic Models and Databricks.

Responsibilities
