Job summary

Walmart Canada is hiring a Self-Checkout Attendant in Cranbrook, BC. This role supports a positive shopping experience by helping customers complete transactions at the self-checkout area and by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized space.

You will assist customers with self-checkout, explain interventions in a friendly way, and escalate issues to the Customer Service Manager. The job requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards: keep area clean, safe, organized, free of debris and spills.
• Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives: support credit card services, product protection plans, charitable initiatives when applicable.
• Support Customers at Self Checkout: assist customers with self-checkout, explain interventions kindly, escalate cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager.
• Respond to EAS Alerts and Complete Documentation: respond to alarms per procedures and complete the deactivation log.
• Manage Scan & Go Equipment: return scanners to storage locations after use.
• Flexible Availability/Work Schedule: be open to evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
