In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of everyone at GBGH, as well as safeguarding hospital assets and property. Your daily tasks will include monitoring the hospital grounds, patrolling in‑patient areas, access control, responding to emergencies, and working with key community partners such as OPP, EMS, FIRE, CNCC, and Waypoint. This will also include working in partnership with funeral homes to process and manage our morgue. Responding to off‑site locations will also be required, and the use of your personal vehicle is necessary. In addition to ensuring safety, you will provide supportive service to patients and visitors, offering guidance as needed to foster a welcoming atmosphere at GBGH.
