Job summary

Ainsworth is seeking a skilled security technician to perform preventative visits and service across access control, intruder alarm, and CCTV systems in commercial settings. The role emphasizes adherence to company standards, efficient time management, and strong customer communication.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in electronic security, knowledge of IP networking, and the ability to obtain Federal Level II clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Electronic Security Systems
• Excellent knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Door Entry and Intruder Alarm Systems
• Knowledge of Systems Networking and IP Configuration
• Must be capable of obtaining a Federal Level II Security Clearance
• Proficiency in Excel and Word
• Staying current on security solutions (AMAG, Avigilon, Genetec, ICT, RS2, Salient, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Deliver preventative visits to access control, intruder alarm and CCTV systems, mainly in commercial environments
• Assist with installation team on similar projects as needed
• Manage work pre-booked visits and adapt to new technologies
• Provide fault diagnosis on complex systems and respond to faults efficiently

Job Summary

Primary responsibilities will be to deliver preventative visits to access control, intruder alarm and CCTV systems, mainly in commercial environments, to company and industry standards, within a given time.

Requirements

• Have a passion for the trade and is a problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent customer communication skills, and is a team player with a can-do attitude.
• Have a good knowledge of CANASA and security industry Standards.
• Electronic Installation Qualification(s) - Or equivalent. (Preferred).
• You should be able to manage your work and exhibit the companies vision and values.
• You must have experience working in a similar role in the security industry.
• Multi-disciplined in the security industry from service, small works, fault-finding and maintenance, and having installation knowledge.
• Hold a Full Clean Driving License - Essential for this post.
• Must have the ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Depending on experience, the person will be expected to deal with pre-booked preventative visits on small or large systems.
• Must have excellent fault diagnosis skills, including working on more complex systems, and occasions will assist with the installation team on similar projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Door Entry and Intruder Alarm Systems
• Minimum 5-years’ experience working within the Electronic Security Systems industry
• Knowledge and experience of Systems Networking and IP Configuration
• Must be capable of obtaining a Federal Level II Security Clearance
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Staying current on the entire line of security solutions provided by Ainsworth (i.e. AMAG, Avigilon, Genetec, ICT, RS2, Salient, etc..)
