Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Installer to work on-site with commercial customers to install and program Integrated Security systems. You will also dismantle and reconstruct equipment as needed, ensuring safety and quality on every job.

The role involves following schematics, traveling to sites, and potentially leading installation teams. Strong reading of blueprints, tool operation, and customer service are essential to success.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Some technical school training is a plus.
• Electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
• Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.
• Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Must be able to obtain the reliability clearance required to meet business needs.
• Networking Certification.
• Access Control certifications.
• CCTV certifications.
• Experience bending conduit.

Responsibilities

• Installs appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security.
• Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.
• Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.
• Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.
• Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook‑up procedures.
• Tests operation of system to the signal‑receiving center to properly establish service.
• Reads building blueprints as required.
• May lead installation teams on larger projects as required.
• Coach and mentor less experienced installers.
• Travel required, using provided company vehicle and equipment.

What you will do

As a critical part of the team, the Commercial Installer works onsite with our commercial customers to set up and program their Integrated Security security systems. The Commercial Installer also dismantles and reconstructs equipment when necessary.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25.00-$32.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
