Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an installation professional in Ontario to install devices, verify schedules with customers, and lead smaller projects when needed. The role emphasizes safety, accurate estimates, and adherence to wiring diagrams within a collaborative team environment.

You will read blueprints, mentor junior installers, and travel using a company vehicle. A high school diploma and English proficiency are required, with reliability clearance obtainable.

• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
• Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.
• Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Must be able to obtain the reliability clearance required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Installs appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security.
• Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.
• Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.
• Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.
• Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.
• Tests operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.
• Reads building blueprints as required.
• May lead installation teams on larger projects as required.
• Coach and mentor less experienced installers.
• Travel required, using provided company vehicle and equipment.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25.00-$32.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
